Our aim is to: -

  • Provide the highest levels of service available in order to cultivate a long and mutually beneficial trading partnership.
  • Use only "top brand" manufacturers products in order to provide the highest quality value for money available.
  • Couple the traditional method of purchasing end user lighting products with the latest technology in order to provide you with an all round professional service.
  • Adopt a policy of fair treatment over any possible disputes that may arise.

Definitions contained within Terms and Conditions of Sale

"We", "us", "the company" or "the seller" is The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd.

"You", "the customer" or "the purchaser" is the individual, company or authorised entity contracted to purchase products from The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd.

"The products" or "the goods" are items that have been ordered from The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd, specified by your purchase order and our order acknowledgement.

Our Order Acceptance Policy

The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd are able to accept orders via the The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd web site at www.thelighthouseuk.co.uk, by fax on (0) 1767 699275, by e-mail at sales@thelighthouseuk.co.uk or by post to the Customer Service office at:

We reserve the right to refuse to accept orders or to request additional information at the companies discretion. The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd will advise receipt of orders by the following methods:

  • Orders accepted over the The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd web site will be acknowledged by immediate return e-mail to the point of origin.
  • Telephone and Fax orders will be acknowledged verbally by phone or in writing by return fax to point of origin.
  • Postal orders will be acknowledged in writing.
Be aware that no contract exists between The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd and the purchaser until an acknowledgement has been received.

Refunds, Returns and Cancellation Policy

Should The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd be unable to complete and order that has previously been acknowledged within a period of not less than 28 days from date of acknowledgement then the purchaser would be offered a full refund for that product. Any returned products for whatever reason will be subject to a refund provided that said products are received back at our holding depot in an acceptable re-saleable condition in their original packaging no later than
14 days from date of delivery. This refund may be subject to a re-stocking charge, and additional carriage charges for replacement of goods incorrectly ordered or ordered in error.The customer has 5 working days from date of delivery to notify The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd of any discrepancies, damages or faults that have arisen with any orders. The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd will only accept any returns provided prior agreement between The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd and the purchaser has been sought.

Our Pricing Policy

The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd will endeavour to keep our published selling and offer prices correct. However, The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd reserve to change prices without prior notice and to refuse to accept any orders where prices have been quoted in error. All prices will be quoted in pounds sterling and will be subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.

Payment and Payment Policy

Payment will be accepted by way of most major Credit and Debit cards (see web site front page) via our automated secure payment gateway (operated by Barclays Merchant Services), by cheque/bankers draft (made payable to FSLDirect Ltd) or by way of B.A.C.S/C.H.A.P.S payment (contact Customer Services via customer.service@fsldirect.co.uk for bank details). No Credit or Debit card details will be processed by The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd or held on the The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd database. The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd will require payment in full prior to any orders being despatched inclusive of any special delivery charges levied.

The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd Delivery Policy

The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd will endeavour to despatch orders within 24hours of acknowledgement of order and subject to availability. Please allow up to 28 days from order acknowledgement for deliveries to be completed. Deliveries will be made from our holding depot direct to the customer’s premises, by way of parcel delivery or courier. If for whatever reason we cannot fulfil a completed order within 28days of order acknowledgement the customer will be offered a full refund against any outstanding product (see Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy).

Risk

Delivery is ex-works from our holding depot in Salford, Manchester and risk will be handed over to the customer on signed receipt of goods.

Retention of Title

Regardless to whether or not delivery has been completed, ownership of the goods does not pass from The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd to the customer until payment has been received in full.

Specification and Product/Service Information

Whilst every effort is made to validate the information passed on to the customer via the The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd web site we will accept no liability for any damage, direct, indirect or consequential, or any loss or expense that may be incurred as a result of any error or omission of information published or supported by the company. Goods are supplied in accordance with the manufacturers specification and the company is unable to validate the viability of every possible application in which the customer wishes to use them. It is the customer’s responsibility to access the suitability of the products for their intended use. Any reference to application or average rated life of the products is based on information given by the manufacturer of the product and The Lighthouse UK (FSL Direct) Ltd will not be responsible for any discrepancies in this information. The customer should not place undue reliance on the reproduction of colours and finishes due to the difficulty in accurate reproduction of such.
